Intermediate Pistol Course
This course teaches the student the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for owning and using a pistol safely. This course is a continuation of our fundamental pistol skill sets. The intermediate course introduces the student to more advanced techniques of tactical shooting. 1 Day - $150 (includes pistol rental and holster rental if applicable) This course will cover Pistol manipulation standards Movement to and from a holster Malfunction clearing immediate. proactive loading Kneeling fire Stationary turns Live fire shooting qualification Requirements to take this course photo identification card note taking materials range attire (no V neck or low cut shirt, closed toed shoes, pants with sturdy belt) eye and ear protection hydration hat with bill (optional but recommended) completion of the Beginner Pistol course with STC primary pistol APPROVED holster (see requirements below) 100 rounds of ammunition 2 pistol magazines for pistol Holster rules NO serpa or serpa style holsters unless required by an organization or agency NO shoulder mounted holsters NO cross-draw or non- dominant sided holsters At least one level of retention of the holster is required (if the gun is held upside down in the holster, it will not fall out) ASK for approval prior to class start if you have any questions about what is authorized for this course of fire A pistol and ammunition is not REQUIRED to take this course but is HIGHLY recommended in order to learn the proper way to use your own pistol. If a pistol is needed on the day of your course, please notify scheduling AHEAD OF TIME in order to secure a pistol for you to use during the course of the class. a limited amount of pistols will be available during each class to borrow so please let us know as soon as possible. Ammunition will not be provided but can be arranged upon request during the time of registration.
